Walking back to healthiness

Published:Tuesday 2 February 2010

Enjoy the countryside, make new friends and improve your health by joining a free health walk organised by East Northamptonshire Council.

All our walks are led by trained walk leaders and are suitable for any age and ability. They are particularly good for those who may be recovering from illness or need to improve their exercise levels. Regular walking can prevent a number of serious health problems such as heart disease or diabetes and is a distraction from everyday stresses which can impact on your health.

So join a free Health Walk at Fineshade Woods, every Wednesday at 1.30pm. The walks last around 45 minutes and follow a surfaced trail. Sensible footwear is recommended.

Children are welcome when accompanied by a responsible adult. Well behaved dogs also welcome on leads.

Walkers meet at the Car Park at Top Lodge, and free parking is available for those taking part in the walk. For more information, call Jenna Parton on 01832 742014.
