Higham Ferrers
Higham Ferrers contains many fine old buildings grouped around the Market Square in an important conservation area.
The town was the birthplace of Henry Chichele who went on to be the Archbishop of Canterbury in 1414. He established Chichele College and the Bede House. The latter can be found alongside the impressive church of St. Mary the Virgin.
In Higham Ferrers there is a library, doctor's surgery, recreation ground and various halls available for public use.
A farmer's market is held on the Market Square on the last Saturday of every Month selling local produce.
