Build a Silver Web Page

Font: Choose your desired font from the drop down menu. This option may not be visible to you, depending on which site you are using.

Colour selection boxes: select your preferred options. This option may not be visible to you, depending on which site you are using.

Template: Choose your preferred layout from the options displayed. You can preview the site at any time to see what each template looks like.

Title: Type in your title for this silver page.

Password: If you wish to password protect this page, type in your preferred password. Note: this will mean the password is required by a user to view the page on the live web page.

Address / Contact Details: Enter as much detail as you can to enable people to contact you.

EMail address: email address of person who will be handling email enquiries.

Website Address: Here you can add an appropriate website address is. Note: the http:// part of the address is already included.

Location(s): If the page is relevant to a particular location or locations select the location(s) that are relevant to your site. To select more than one location firstly click an initial location, then hold down the CTRL key and click on your additional location(s).

Subheading: For each subheading, enter your relevant text.

Text Box: You can enter a few paragraphs into each text box. Clicking the advanced edit text link will allow you to use an inbuilt editor for adding extra styling to your text.

Logo: click the add picture button and follow the instructions to add an image to be used as a logo on the page.

Images: click the add picture button and follow the instructions to add an image to be used on the page.

Files: to add a file as an attachment (to be downloadable from the page) click the add file button. Follow the instructions regarding uploading the file from your computer.

 

 

Submitting, Saving and Previewing

submit: clicking the 'submit' button will send the details entered through for approval by the relevant approver.

save: will save the information without sending it for approval at this point.

preview: loads a preview version of your course information into a new browser window. Item must first be saved before the preview options becomes available.
